US Two People Including Indian Origin Doctor Killed In Plane Crash In California!
Two people, including a well-known cardiologist of Indian origin, were killed when a small plane crashed in the US state of California, and the crash caused a fire in nearby houses, causing considerable damage. This information was given in media reports. According to reports, Dr Sugata Das, who worked as an interventional cardiologist at Yuma Regional Medical Center (YRMC) in Arizona, had a two-engine Cessna C340 aircraft.
It is not yet confirmed whether Das himself was sitting in the pilot seat at the time of the accident on Monday, KYMA.com reported on Tuesday. YRMC Chief Medical Officer Bharat Magu said in a statement, “We are deeply saddened to hear about the crash of local cardiologist Sugata Das’s plane. The plane crashed near Santi (California)." Magoo said, "He was an excellent cardiologist and a devoted person to the family. We extend our condolences to his family, friends and colleagues during this difficult time.
After the accident near Santana High School in Santi, two houses were gutted in a fire and five other houses and several vehicles were damaged. However, before the fire spread to other houses, firefighters brought the blaze under control. The other person killed in the accident was a United Parcel Service (UPS) of America Inc. employee. UPS has confirmed that one of its employees was killed in the plane crash. "We are saddened by the news of the death of one of our employees and extend our condolences to his family and friends," ABC affiliate KXTV was quoted as saying by UPS. We also extend our condolences to the family and friends of other victims of the accident.
According to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), the plane crashed at around 12.15 am. According to the FAA, "the number of people on board is not yet known." Cessna C340 aircraft are commonly used for business. The aircraft has a seating capacity of six passengers, with two seats in the front and two in the rear.
Born in a Bengali family and raised in Pune, Das was also the director of the American non-profit organization "Power of Love Foundation", according to the institute's website. It helps women and children who are infected or affected by AIDS and HIV abroad. The website states that Das has two sons and lives in San Diego. He owned a two-engine Cessna 340 and was a trained pilot, flying between his home and Yuma.
